As part of Stage 4 development of the Good Samaritan Catholic College, ATTAIN was selected to complete all civil works associated with this stage. The broad scope of works for Stage 4 included; bulk earthworks for new building, new carpark extension, new culdesac turning road, bio retention basins, civil stormwater.

The project was completed over about a 12 month period with the first phase being the bulk earthworks for the new school building, followed by bulk earthworks for the carpark, and then balance of scope working in and around school access, and builder priorities. There was approximately 3000m3 of net export bulk earthworks materials.

The stormwater component involved approximately 370 lineal metres of pipe installation ranging from 750mm diametre to 375mm diametre StormPRO pipes. There were 9 pits and 6 manholes installed as well with depths upto 2.5m. As part of the civil stormwater infrastructure was 4 bio retention basins within the carpark design.

The largest component of the project was the 2,500sqm extension to an existing carpark. The carpark required a major subgrade replacement with a 500mm thick rock mattress installed across unsuitable ground conditions. The carpark was a standard asphalt carpark design with the largest challenge being wet weather during the citical times of base preparation in December 2024.
